Enjoying your retirement is possible if you choose Sardinia
How many pensioners or future pensioners, think about moving to a warm place, near the sea or offering an affordable cost of living? We hear more and more talk about it than before, maybe because the foreigners pointed out that this place already exists in Italy and is called Sardinia.
Anyone who has stayed in Sardinia, even just a few days, whether it is in the North or South, has necessarily noticed the quality of life. The food, the people, the climate and the sea make it one of the places that we can imagine on the other side of the planet. This wonderful land is rather nearby and begins to show itself in all its splendour.
The future is looking good for Sardinia since many pensioners and future pensioners had this brilliant idea. Looking for a place of dreams began a long time ago. In television, many programs are talking about retired people who have chosen North Africa, Eastern Europe and lately Portugal. The reason is always the same, the quality of life.
If for a while you lead the life you desired, then you will face the country system. You need to consider facets like safety, health, tradition, to name only a few of them. Breaking away from Mother Italy never really happens and the reason is much deeper. Italy calls you back, you will not live abroad as in Italy and this applies for Italians but also for foreigners.
If we are not yet full with a mass of pensioners from all over the world, it’s due to the general economic situation that is not up to our beautiful country.
Choose Sardinia to feel even more at home
Despite the pessimism that affects the average Italian, we are quite aware that the distinctive characteristic of this country are unique in the world. The food is not similar with any other nation in the world and is reflected in life expectancy, which is superior for an Italian compared to countries, European or not.
This trend is confirmed by the presence ofcentenarians who abound in Sardinia. The cost of houses is also a real temptation to invest, and for now it’s still a good deal.
The concern you may have when you live away from home is to not manage to support your family, as job opportunities are tied to tourism. A pensioner does not face this issue and that is why we always see more seniors settle in places that can no longer be considered only as resort.
In addition to those reasons, there is also the encouragement from the senior’s family who is very happy to see them settle in a place comparable to the Caribbean 6 months of the year, except that they live and eat much better there!
